Fanlistings: A fanlisting is an online listing of people who are fans of a certain subject, in this case the relationship between Denethor and Finduilas. :)


Silent Memory: Despite the fact that Tolkien has written very little about the relationship between Denethor of Gondor, father of Boromir and Faramir, and his wife, Finduilas of Dol Amroth, I have always been fascinated by that particular relationship, maybe because it leaves so much open to your own imagination... Anyway, when I saw there was no fanlisting for their relationship listed at TFL.org I decided to make one and that's how Silent Memory came to be. :)

Version 1.0 features John Noble as Denethor in Peter Jackson's movie adaption on The Lord of the Rings and a painting by J.W. Waterhouse that looks a lot like the picture of Finduilas I have in my mind. The site was made using Photoshop Elements, Microsoft Publisher and Notepad and uses the great php-Fanbase script.
