Well, what to say...? I started this fanlisting in november 2002 as a part of ‚Sons of Minas Tirith', my site dedicated to two of my favourite characters ever: Boromir and Faramir, the two sons of the Steward of Gondor, from J.R.R. Tolkien's wonderful fantasy epic The Lord of the Rings. The idea came to me when I surfed the net and found there were numerous fanlistings and sites dedicated to Boromir, some to Faramir and even some for Faramir and Éowyn or Boromir and Aragorn but not a single one dedicated to the two brothers which surprised me, seeing that they are both great characters and (as Tolkien states in the appendices) had quite a close relationship despite their differences. Anyway, I have been obsessed with Boromir and Faramir ever since I first read the book and even though the movie version so far included changes to both of them appearance-wise and major changes to Faramir's character (which I not necessarily agree with even though they work for the movie) I have since become a great fan of Peter Jackson's movie adaption of my favourite book as well. That's why this fanlist doesn't make a difference between movie-Boromir/movie Faramir and book-Boromir/book Faramir even though I am well aware that there have indeed been several changes so that especially in regard to Faramir some people might feel that the book and the movie character are no longer the same. What I am trying to say is that you can become a member of this fanlist regardless to which version of the character you like, movie fans are as welcome as book fans.
