.:°David Wenham°:.

Well, when I first saw a picture of David Wenham as Faramir my first reaction was 'Oh my God, he and Sean Bean DO look like brothers!'. Of course he has no dark hair and no grey eyes either but after seeing Sean Bean's incredible performance I'm no longer worried about that...

When I first saw TTT I was blown away by David's SUPERB performance... He is without any doubt one of the most talented actors I have ever seen and I have since turned into a veritable (nah... What am I saying?
Crazy would be much closer to the truth... *lol*) David Wenham fan. His ability to express Faramir's sadness and doubt without saying a single word just with his face and especially with his eyes is unbelievable and if you haven't seen any of his other movies yet I strongly suggest you try to get your hands on some of them (which is unfortunately quite difficult... Especially if you're living in Europe... But it's not impossible) and  let yourself be caught in the intensity and the talent that is David Wenham... :)

David Wenham was born on September 21, 1965 in Marrickville, Sydney, Australia, as the youngest of 7 children (2 boys and 5 girls).

He's best known for his portrayal of 'Diver Dan' in the TV series 'Seachange' but has also appeared in numerous theatre productions including 'Hamlet' and 'The Tempest' by William Shakespeare.

He has been nominated for an Australian Film Institute (AFI) Award for his performance in 'The Boys' (1997) and has won AFI awards for 'Babies' (1997), 'Twisted Tales' (1996)and most recently in 2003 for 'Gettin' Square' (which I am dying to see).

Unnoticed by most he also starred in fellow-Aussie Baz Luhrman's 'Moulin Rouge' (2001) as writer 'Audrey'... *lol*

David Wenham first appeared as Boromir's younger brother Faramir in the second part of Peter Jackson's adaption of Tolkien's 'Lord of the Rings', 'The Two Towers' and can currently be seen in the wonderful 'The Return of the King', the final LOTR-movie.

This year in May you can catch David on the big screen in 'Van Helsing' as friar Carl alongside Hugh Jackman (Van Helsing) and Kate Beckinsale (Anna).

Last year in October David's longtime girlfriend, yoga teacher and actress Kate Agnew whom he met while shooting 'Molokai', gave birth to the couple's first child: daughter Eliza Jane.
CONGRATULATIONS, DAVID!!! :)
